Automate brings together nearly 40,000 manufacturing, engineering and industrial technology professionals to see what’s next in automation.

For 2026, Rain Engineering returned with a larger 20' × 30' footprint and a new challenge. The booth would be shared with Velotic, bringing software, implementation and live automation demos together under one experience.

Our job was to make that relationship clear, make the technology approachable, and give people a reason to stop.

Two brands. One booth.
One clear story.

More space meant more opportunity—but also more visual competition.

Rain Engineering and Velotic were sharing the booth, so the experience couldn't feel like a Rain booth with a partner logo added on. Both brands needed a meaningful presence.

Rain's electric blue and Velotic's bright orange also came from very different visual systems. The challenge was bringing them together while making the relationship immediately understandable:

Velotic Software. Delivered by Rain Engineering.

A familiar hook with a stronger payoff.

“Are You This Good? Our Customers Are.”

We kept the campaign idea that helped Rain stand out at Automate 2025, then expanded it for a much bigger presence.

Twenty-foot LED screens overhead were used to grab attention from across the show floor. The language stayed short and direct. Instead of explaining software features from across the aisle, the campaign led with outcomes manufacturers actually care about—visibility, control, uptime and performance.

That gave the booth one recognizable voice, even as Rain and Velotic each retained their own visual identity.

Attention above.
Interaction below.

The booth needed to work from across the show floor and from five feet away.

Twenty-foot LED screens carried bold motion and messaging overhead, creating visibility without filling the floor with walls. Below, the footprint stayed open and approachable, giving visitors room to move between demos and talk with specialists.

Wayfinding blades and station graphics connected each software category to a live experience.

The demos made it real.

Industrial software can be difficult to understand from a screen or a list of features. So instead of asking visitors to imagine what it could do, Rain showed it connected to real automation.

Live robotic demonstrations made the technology tangible and gave Rain and Velotic specialists a natural way to connect what visitors were seeing to the challenges they face on the plant floor.

Designed to move people.

From the aisle, motion earned the first look.

Inside the booth, wayfinding made each station easy to understand. Live demos gave visitors a reason to linger. Open gathering areas gave consultants room to turn curiosity into conversation.

The experience extended beyond the booth through printed leave-behinds, team apparel and content shared from the show floor.
